The Quick Change Crib

Both of my children have been spitters since day one. We would go through half a dozen burp cloths, 3 outfits, and a few sheets every single day. If anyone is familiar with crib bumper pads, you know what a pain it is to change the sheets with these in place. There are two ways that you can go about doing it:

1. Remove the entire bumper pad, then change the sheet. This whole process would take about a half an hour.

2. Pull the crib mattress up over the bumper pad to change it. This results in a very squished and sometimes ripped bumper pad.

My husband and I opted for the less attractive option 3. What is that you ask? It means using a large bath towel and placing it on top of the mattress and tucking it in around the edges. So if little junior spit up in his bed, all we had to do was change the towel. The problem with this options is the towel ends up all bunched up and that's just not safe. Also why spend all the money on cute crib sheets when they're hidden by an old bath towel?

I recently came across a website called Innovative Crib Designs. Why couldn't I have found this when we were crib shopping? This would have saved all of our problems. The end of the crib open up and your able to slide the mattress out without so much as ruffling the bumper. Easy change!
