Honest Kids Drink Pouches

>> January 20, 2009

Both of my children are Milk-aholics. They very rarely ask for or get juice. I try to limit their juice intake to 1 cup a day which is usually at snack time. I love trying to find alternatives for them. When I was approached by the Honest Beverage Company to do a review of their Honest Kids line, I was excited.

"Honest Tea creates and promotes delicious, truly healthy, organic beverages. We strive to grow with the same honesty we use to craft our products, with sustainability and great taste for all."

Their line of beverages for children is called Honest Kids. These wonderful little drink pouches contain less than half the sugar of most drink pouches and are also organic.

Honest Kids has teamed up with TerraCyle to also help teach children the importance of saving our planet. TerraCycle will donate $.02 per pouch to the organization of your choice for turning in your Honest Kids drink pouches. These pouches are then turned into beautifully crafted handbags, lunch sacks, and pencil cases sold at Target.

Even the Honest Kids packaging is environmentally friendly:
  • Outer packaging reduced by 41 percent compared to other wholesale bundles
  • One box (reduced from three) holds all pouches
  • Plastic shrink wrap eliminated
  • Box made with recyclable corrugated cardboard (35 percent post-consumer waste)
  • Plastic handle made with 45 percent post-consumer waste

BUY IT
The 24 pouch variety packs of Honest Kids are sold exclusively at your local Sam's Clubs. Retails for $8.56

Honest Kids is also available in individually flavored 8 pouch cartons at Whole Foods, Target, and Babies R' Us.

Flavors include:
Tropical Tango Punch, Bery/Berry Good Lemonade, and Goodness Grapeness.

WIN IT
Now, you have a chance to win a 24 pack of Honest Kids. All you have to do is go www.honesttea.com, take a look around then come back and tell me one interesting fact that you learned from their site.
