Wee Squeak Shoes

Mice squeak, tub toys squeak, and now my toddler does, too!

I had a big problem with my very active daughter wanting to walk in the store, but not wanting to hold my hand. She was constantly darting around the corner and disappearing.

I had heard about squeaky shoes from a friend, so I began shopping. When I ran across these adorable shoes at Wee Squeak, I was so excited. There is a removable squeaker in the heel, and they are very soft and flexible. The shoe itself is made out of buttery soft leather with a secure Velcro closure, and the sole is nubby rubber that grips any surface.

I wish I had a picture of the look on my daughter's face when she took the first step and heard the squeak. She looked so surprised! When she realized it was from her shoes, she began jumping and running and squealing with delight. I had a really hard time convincing her to take them off that night to go to bed.

Now, when she decides to make a run for it in the grocery store, panic does not grip me. I just follow the squeaks and there she is!
