UV Skinz

>> June 9, 2009

My kids absolutely love playing in their baby pool in our backyard. I believe they would stay in it until their little fingers shriveled up to look like raisins. Come on,there is nothing better than some good water fun on a hot summer day.

Along with all that fun in the sun also needs to come awareness. Awareness of the harm that UV rays can to our skin. Our little ones could care less about the terms sunscreen, UV rays, sunburns and skin cancer. It's our job to look out for them. That's why we lather then from head to toe with thick white sunscreen.
But, why should we stop there?

UV Skinz sun protective swimshirts are stylish and carry a UPF rating of 50+, which blocks out over 98% of the sun’s harmful rays, protecting delicate skin from damaging sunburns. Sunscreen isn’t always enough, is often not used correctly and some folks have skin allergies or sensitivities to chemicals that sunscreens can contain. UV Skinz are sun shirts that are not made with any chemicals or lotions. The UV protection is in the tight weave of the fabric. Wearing UV protective clothing, such as our fun, cool UV Skinz sun protective swim shirts, is an important step in preventing sunburns, premature aging of the skin and skin cancer.
My daughter loved her Hot Pink swim shirt, and I have a feeling your kids will love them as well. But wait, they're not just for kids! UV Skinz also makes products for moms and dads.

I have been shopping for one of these for my baby. I am worried about excess sun exposure and this will be perfect.

While looking around their site, I learned that Rhonda Sparks started UV Skinz after her 32 year old husband passed away from Skin Cancer.

I feel that it is sad that it takes a tragedy to get great products like UV Skinz on the market.

UV Skinz offer more protection than sunscreen--you can miss spots with sunscreen, sunscreen can rub, sweat, or wash off, or it can be expired. UV Skinz last much longer than a bottle of sunscreen too, so they are more economical!
