MJM Books: Making Reading Fun

>> September 10, 2009

When I was a little girl, my best friend was a girl that lived next door. Her name was Rena and her family was from India. She didn't live there long, but in the time that she did, we were really close. One year for my birthday my parents bought me a personalized book about Rena and I going on and adventure together.

To this day, I can still remember lots of details about that book and how much I loved it. I was so excited when I was contacted by Jeff at MJM Books. You see, they make customized books just like when I was little.

Jeff offered to make a personalized book for my little boy for this review. I chose What Animal Are You? This is very fitting because he in continually walking around the house saying "I'm a lion" or "I'm a Monkey!" I'm sure that he will love his personalized book for many many years to come....just as I did!
MJM Books was founded in 2007 by three innovative brothers Mike, Jeff, and Matt. Despite residing in different parts of the US (Phoenix, Chicago, and Denver) the brothers found a creative way to stay in touch. They began publishing unique children's books that parents and kids love to read.
MJM Books currently has 3 different titles to chose from:
A Day At The Park
If I Were Big
What Animal Are You
You can customize each book with your child's gender, hair color, hair style, eye color, skin tone and name. You can also add a customized message to them at the end.
One thing that I will say, is that I was hoping for a little bit more personalization throughout the main portion of the story. Instead, it mentions your child's name at the very end.

BUY IT:

MJM Books are available online at www.mjmbooks.com
and retail for $15.95

WIN IT:
Now you have a chance to win a customized book of your own. All you have to do is head on over to the MJM Books site, take a look around then come back and tell me which book you would choose and why.

I'd love "A Day at the Park". We live near a park and I take my son there almost daily. It'd be cute if he were to read about it with his own name in the story!
