Sugar Apple Designs was started by a gal, Shanda Chiumento, an artist living in St. Thomas. She became an artist at the age of 5 and has been printmaking since the age of 15! She has several accolaids under her belt which you can read about here
But as her website states eco-conscious • fun & simple • 100% cotton • caribbean inspired that's just what her designs are!
Each Sugar Apple design is inspired by Caribbean fruit, plants, flowers, fish, or history...the tropical paradise of the Virgin Islands is reflected onto wearable fabric!
